The Power of Routine – Battling Anorexia w/ Heather Lindamood

Season 1 Episode 27

Today's episode of RSVP Radio with Brooke takes on a serious topic - eating disorders. I am speaking with fellow fitness enthusiast, Heather Lindamood, about how having a ROUTINE can help move past some triggers.

Heather was a Special Education Teacher working with Learning and Behavior Disorders for 14 years. She graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Exceptional Education with an emphasis in Middle School Language Arts. She also has a masters degree in Teaching and Educational Leadership.

She is also a well being coach for a wellness company and a fitness instructor with certifications in PiYo and Barre Above.
Her struggle with her health and the spiral into an eating disorder began her senior year of college. She had a huge list of triggers that brought it on and made the battle harder to fight. It took hitting rock bottom with an emotional plea from her grandmother before she decided to actively seek out help after battling for 3 years. It was not an easy recovery and took years of work and finding what worked for her.

Having 2 teenage girls makes her even more passionate about sharing with others about how to find better health and balance, that food is not the enemy, and you can enjoy great nutrition and make your body stronger for all that life demands.
